Resources & Links

My collection of useful gardening resources. Always a work in progress…

Useful Websites

Royal Horticultural Society: My go-to resource for most plant information.

Worm Composting HQ: The best vermicomposting resource that I’ve yet come across on the web. The chap who runs it, Henry Owen, really knows his stuff.

Frogs Are Green: A global amphibian protection awareness organization.

Froglife: UK amphibian and reptile conservation charity.

Debby’s Gardening Links: A useful directory of mainly UK-related gardening sites.

What Can I Plant Now: Quirky, cute little site.

Taproot Hydroponics: Excellent Atlanta-based hydro retailer.

Recirculating Farms Coalition: Organisation promoting the development of eco-farms.

Epic Gardening: A great resource on all thing urban gardening and hydroponics.

Japanese Knotweed Identification: A quick guide to identifying this pesky plant.

Solar Power Authority: Solar comparison site.

Chiminea Guy:  A great little site about how to pick and use a chiminea. Highly recommended!

Open Colleges Australia: This link is to Open Colleges’ “Certificate II in Horticulture”, which is designed for both beginning and experienced gardeners.

Trek Warrior: A site about survival and outdoor pursuits.

If you would like to recommend a site, just drop me an email at dan [at] urbanturnip [dot] org. I read all my emails.
